A MESSAGE FROM JOSH

Now it’s time to take the next step.

For the past several years, we’ve proven what can happen when members get informed, get involved, and stand together. We’ve challenged the status quo, demanded better from our leadership, and helped change the direction of our union.

I’m running for General Chairman because I believe our members deserve leadership that listens, communicates, and is willing to fight for the future of our craft.

This campaign isn’t about one person. It’s about building a stronger, more united union that puts the membership first.

MEET JOSH · MY STORY

Josh’s union story.

After 15 years as a conductor, Josh’s decision to get involved began during the last contract—and grew into a fight for better communication, greater participation, and electronic voting.

THE CAMPAIGN

My Focus.

Clear communication, stronger bargaining, and a union that delivers more value to every member.

Improve Communication & Member Participation

An informed and engaged membership is the foundation of a strong union. Members deserve clear information, a real voice, and meaningful opportunities to participate. Greater participation creates accountability and strengthens our leverage. Nothing increases our power like members who understand their value and are prepared to stand together for what they’re worth.

Maximize the Value of Our Next Contract

I won’t make dishonest promises about a specific raise. I will promise that we will prepare, organize, and fight for everything we reasonably can—starting with dollars per hour, because our hourly rate strengthens straight time, overtime, paid time off, and future raises. We will use experienced contract counsel, economic expertise, member education, and every lawful form of leverage available to enter negotiations informed, united, and prepared to go the distance.

Improve Union Structure & Increase Member Benefits

Our union should provide value beyond negotiations and grievance handling. Members deserve clear, organized resources for medical leave, FMLA, Railroad Retirement Board sickness benefits, Hartford supplemental benefits, retirement preparation, personal finance, and other career needs. We should use the size and resources of our organization to make members’ lives easier, help them prepare for the future, and return as much value as possible for every dollar paid in dues.
